Bassin at Romer

Headed out late morning after checking the bay the weather man was way off :cuss:. Dave grabbed a bushel of clams and off to Romer we go there were a lot of boats anchor in the area so we found a nice spot away from most and dropped the hook. Didn't take much to get a bite started we had a nice bite going but most were fish between 24-26"s but we managed to get our limit in a few hours and headed in early :cheers:. We had about a dozen fish on the day just about every boat near us were catching fish.

I actually got a call from a friend of mine who was fishing the Hi-Mar tourney and he was asking me for a spot to pick up one more keeper as he only had 3 hours left in the tourney and only had one fish to weigh.

I sent him over there and he called me later that afternoon to thank me for the advice. He ended up in 5th place with the fish that he picked up there.

I never fished over the weekend. Fri my crew bailed. Sat, well you know. And yesterday I had to do family stuff :cuss:

Looks like I will be pulling the boat this week or over the weekend at the latest. I hope to get out one last time before that happens.

I may pull mine next week I hate to do it but it's time and they are already looking to get everyone out. Last year I winterized in the snow this year I'd like to avoid that :grin: You had a great season with the new boat and next year will be even better now you have a true offshore boat hopefully next year the tune remember to show up.

I don't know when Jeff is coming out but I'm sure he will push the time limit.

We will have to fish on his boat.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the snow. I have a lot more work to winterize this thing then my other boats, or should I say "manonthedock" has a lot more work to do :hello:
