I agree. The unfortunate part is that he will probably get a multi million dollar book deal or get a movie made about him after release.

No he will get out and get a multi year deal to come back and be a role model for the youth of america. Just like the NFL has done for the other convicts.... The NFL had the opportunity to clean up their league. But they continue to drop the ball.

Donte Stallworth KILLS a guy and gets 30 days. Plax shoots himself and gets 2 years? Something is wrong with that.
I think Plax deserves to go to jail but I do not believe he got off easy. It just happens that in NY, carrying an unregistered gun is a serious crime. If this was Florida, he would not have even received jail time.
As far as Stallworth is concerned, that is a different story. Although he was intoxicated, the victim contributed to the accident by jay walking in an area where no pedestrians are allowed. In fact, Stallworth probably would have killed the guy even if he never took a sip that night. I know exactly where this happened and cannot imagine anyone walking across there. I think this factor played a large role in the reason why Stallworth did not receive a stiffer sentence.

I agree that Plax should go away for a long time. It is not just Stallworth...how about Leonard Little of the Rams. There are children fatherless because of him and he got very little jail time.
