Left the Barnegat inlet at 1:30 pm. Headed north until we found readings of bait and fish. Dropped the spoons in and had the first fish on in less than 5 minutes. The first one came undone.
Second fish hit on the exact same MOB mark, this one made it to the boat and box. Third fish hit at the same MOB mark in the opposite trolling direction. This one also made it to the box.
We made a few more passes, but the bait and fish seemed to scatter and the wind picked up. We headed for home with a 26 and 18 pounder in the box. We were back at the dock by 4:45.
