That would be interesting. I haven't seen the water temp in a while so it could be possible. We never had any real cold snaps or huge amounts of snow to run off and cool the bays and rivers.

There have been reports of adult bunker and herring up the Toms River. I also saw birds working the center of the bay yesterday when I had that job.
Plus that big bass from Easter has a bunch of bunker in it's belly. So she had to find them somewhere in the bay.

I can see "windy cove' on Toms river from my window. Where are these adult bunker supposedly reported on the river??

Charlie- I believe the guy that gave me the report is very credible. If I remember correctly he lives on Silver bay and caught a 15lb weakfish from one of these bunker schools last year.

OK. but I wasn't doubting the report. I just wanted to see it for myself. Yesterday I walked all around the west end of Tom's river looking for bait and didn't find any. I did hear that they were catching stripers at the river and the bay but I didn't have a chance to get over there. Perhaps tomorrow.
Also winter flounder fishing and perch fishing on the river seem very slow this year.
